A couple of weeks ago my good friend Jon (better known online as The Dust Dances Too) came to visit me and we shot a video together...or rather he shot and edited a video and I endured a very cold beach day for it. I hope you enjoy the results!

Clothes, Cookies, And Conversation

One of my best afternoons from fashion week was spent (as usual) in Nina's apartment previewing her new collection for Family Affairs and munching on fall cookies. I'm quite excited about the fall pieces she just listed on her site, but the spring ones I saw are making me wish winter was already over and done with. The collection is full of vintage novelty prints and nautical-inspired pieces. They're the sort of clothes you want to wear while vacationing in Capri (it could happen!). I'm coveting the red and blue ensemble I tried on as well as the little striped shorts that will be perfect for the hot endless days of summer. As always, Nina was a pleasure to just sit and chat with.

Modcloth Video Diary

While I was in New York for fashion week I shot some footage of my experience for Modcloth's blog. I was greatly helped by my fashion week partner in crime, Erin (who I would not be able to survive fashion week without!). Jon of the Modcloth team edited and put all the random clips together and viola, this video was born--complete with voice over! I'm not very fond of my voice, so nearly all of my videos don't have me talking and it will probably be quite awhile before you hear me again...

Family Affairs Fall Preview

Last time I was in New York, Erin and I had the pleasure of previewing Family Affair's fall collection. I am in love with this collection; probably my favorite one by Nina yet. She always works with lovely fabrics and each season has a wonderful palette; this fall her collection was dominated by blue and velvet (two of my favorite things). Nina let us play dress up and fed us; we couldn't have had more fun filming this little afternoon visit.

Four Year Blogiversary

So, I've somehow managed to have this blog for four years now! The anniversary snuck up on me, but when I did remember it I had the perfect excuse to light up some sparklers and continue my tradition of shooting silly videos for my blog's birthday. My father helped me shoot this one. I have more than 2,000 posts in the archives to remind me of quiet days, big events, and organize so many of my inspirations into one virtual journal. I've never had a record remotely like this before, no regular journal-keeping or previous blogs to my name, so it still amazes me that this has become such a significant part of my daily life.

Anyway, thank you for stopping by! I'm really flattered that people enjoy visiting this little corner of the web and I hope to continue to produce content others enjoy!
