Madewell Spring 2012
I haven't actually really shopped at Madewell much before, but their lookbooks are solid gold. The styling is always fantastic and I think I need some brightly colored flats this spring...
Far Into The Distance
I've never encountered a train on these tracks, but I still haven't quite shaken my fear of them. There are several tracks in this area all rather close to each other and all in (infrequent) use, so sometimes while taking a few pictures along these I will hear a train and freeze. That moment is quickly followed by scrambling to collect my things and move to the side, only to realize the train isn't anywhere near these tracks. Still, better safe than sorry. I do always pick a spot where I can see quite far off in either direction, so if one does approach there will be plenty of time to remove myself and my tripod from the scene.

How The Heather Looks
This field at sunset is clearly one of my favorite places to take photographs in; the light changes so much depending on the time of day, but it pretty much always ends up being lovely. Fields like this one also remind me of Bronte novels--they really captured the somewhat mystical nature of moors and fields. It's all very real (complete with insects), but somehow around sunset you still wonder if you're going to find a pixie ring or something equally preposterous. Sometimes nature is so lovely it just seems unreal.

Laonato Jewelry
Lately I'm attracted to small but interesting jewelry and some of my new favorite pieces are from Laonato Jewelry. I love the simple cube earrings for every day wear and the handcuff necklace is wickedly sweet.
Swallowed Up In Leaves That Blew Away
This outfit feels quite reminiscent of where my style was a year or two ago; I've always been a fan of wearing color but have eased away from that for the most part this fall and winter. Neutrals are so easy for layering and such a natural conclusion on dreary winter days. But this dress just arrived and while it's meant for summer, I couldn't quite wait to wear it then and it also seemed wrong to drown the cheery print with black tights or something similar. Now if only it could be summer again and layers could be unnecessary....
