The line-up at Gretchen Jones seemed like a nod to her persona on Project Runway, but the connection to the past ended there. Attention to detail was not only evident in the bare faces with striking red lips, but the hand painted shoes, jewelry (also by Gretchen), and the amazing prints. From a distance the prints were abstracted and visually appealing, but take a peek at some close-ups and read the explanation of each one and they take on new meaning; one shows stampeding horses while another is based off the lunar cycles. To me, the collection felt wearable without being boring; the kind of pieces you can just throw on, but will still stand out in a crowd.
