So Much Of Fragmentary Blue

Whenever I'm rather stumped about what to wear or too lazy to think, I default to piling on blue shades. Blue is my favorite color, so naturally there is a lot of it in my wardrobe and blue shades always mix so nicely with each other. Anyway, all that to say this is rather a "throw it on and go" outfit. Sometimes I only want to feature my better looks, but then I remind myself that part of the point of blogging is this every day diary sort of thing; even the more mundane looks are recorded and all together give a more accurate depiction of life (style-wise at least, I don't really ramble about my activities/personal stuff too much)..

Jonathan Saunders Pre-Fall 2012

Jonathan Saunder's use of color is what initially drew me to his collections--vivid and unique combinations always set his clothes apart. Ironically though, my favorite ensemble from his latest collection (Pre-Fall 2012), is the muted palette of mixed prints worn by a model with Margot Tenenbaum-esque styling...

An Accessory To Untruth

I recently re-discovered my father's old Pentax with half a roll of film in it. It's been over a year since I last took any pictures on it so I've been snapping away lately just to finish off the roll so I can find out exactly what I was taking pictures of a year ago--I don't even know if it's black and white or color film! I really enjoy shooting with film, but it's such an expensive process and I never know where I should go to get my pictures developed. Still, I'm quite intrigued by this mystery roll and will probably be hooked on this Pentax for a month or so...

Blue Butterfly Day

"It is blue-butterfly day here in spring,
And with these sky-flakes down in flurry on flurry
There is more unmixed color on the wing
Than flowers will show for days unless they hurry.
But these are flowers that fly and all but sing:
And now from having ridden out desire
They lie closed over in the wind and cling
Where wheels have freshly sliced the April mire."
poem by Robert Frost, photographs by D'Art

My Pretty Pony

If you needed any further proof I can't resist a horse sweater, here it is. This vintage baby was too ridiculous/cute to pass by; I love the fact that the horse manes are made from fringe. I think it was originally meant for a child, but when you're short you can get away with cropped styles without ever exposing your midriff. Anyway, another silly horse piece to add to my slow-growing collection.

Happy Birthday To Me

So, it's my birthday today! I'm officially 25, so I decided to do the very adult thing of wrapping myself up in twinkle lights...now I'm off to enjoy some cake!
